يتناول هذا الكتاب بعض جوانب الثقافة الإيرانية التى إن دلت على شئ فإنما تدل على تلك الحركة الثقافية الدؤوبة التى لا تهدأ فى هذه الأمة، كما تعبر فى نفس الوقت عن الشخصية الإيرانية التى تتميز بالذكاء الفطرى والميل إلى التجديد والابتكار. والكتاب عبارة عن مجموعة من الأبحاث والمقالات التى تتناول بعض نماذج من التراث الشعبي الإيرانى والفنون الإيرانية، وبعض القضايا الأدبية واللغوية، ثم عرضا لبعض الكتب الفارسية الحديثة.
