إن علم أصول الفقه من أجل العلوم الإسلامية، وهو من العلوم التي تميز بها التشريع الإسلامي الذي لم يسبقه إلى مثله تشريع آخر، وأصول الفقه من العلوم التي خدمت البحث الفقهي، بل أسهم في التكييف الفقهي للأحداث والنوازل، فهو من الأهمية والمكان.
