الشيخ الدكتور عبدالله بن عبدالرحيم بن عبدالله العبادي، ولد عام ١٩٣٤م بمدينة المحرق، البحرين.
تتلمذ على عدد من مشايخ مكة و المدينة، ثم انتقل الى قطر فتعلم فيها، وعلم فيها.
حصل على الدكتوراه و الماجستير من الازهر، فكان اول قطري يحصل على شهادة الماجستير و الدكتوراه في الشريعة.
وله عدد من المؤلفات اشهرها: شرح لبداية المجتهد و نهاية المقتصد، من الاخلاق و الاداب الاسلامية، موسوعة العلم الحديث حجة للإنسان ام عليه ؟ توفي رحمه الله ظهر يوم عرفه عام ٢٠١٩ وهو يبلغ من العمر ٨٥ عام.

أتناول بعض الفضائل التي خصّ الله بها أمة الإسلام، في الدنيا والآخرة، وانفردت بها دون غيرها من الأمم.
وإذا كان الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم، هو سيد الخلق، وأفضلهم في الدنيا والآخرة، فإن أمّته هي كذلك سيدة الأمم، وأفضلها في الدنيا والآخرة.
وتتضح هذه السيادة، وهذه الأفضلية بما ورد في كثير من الآيات القرآنية، والأحاديث النبوية، وبما هو واقع ومشاهد "وإن تعدوا نعمة الله لا تحصوها" (النحل18)
فهل أدركت هذه الأمة-اليوم-مقدار هذا الفضل وهذا التكريم؟ وهل حافظت على تلك النعم، فقامت بواجبها المنوط بها تجاه ربها الخالق العظيم، وتجاه العالم أجمع بالدعوة الجادة؟
إنها لعمري فضائل، وخصائص تستحق كل تقدير واحترام وطاعة للخالق العظيم، والمنعم الكريم، وجديرة بالحمد والشكر في كل زمان ومكان "لئن شركتم لأزيدنكم، ولئن كفرتم إن عذابي لشديد" (إبراهيم:7).
