من جميل ما قاله بعض أهل العلم قديماً: العلم خزائن ومفتاحه المسألة. وقيل أيضاً: السؤال الحسن نصف الجواب ولهذا كان من طريقة الأئمة الفضلاء والعلماء الإجلاء، سؤال من يرون أنه أعلم منهم وافقه. وقد مشى على هذا المنهج علماء الكويت، موجهين أسئلتهم إلى علم من أعلام الدين وهو الشيخ "عبد القادر بن بدران الدمشقي" ليجيب عنها في الرسالتين اللتان يجمعهما هذا الكتاب وهما: الأولى "روضة الأرواح" والثانية "درة الغواص في حكم الزكاة بالرصاص".
ولأهمية هذه الرسائل والفتاوى، وندرتها عنيت "وزارة الأوقاف والشؤون الإسلامية في دولة الكويت" بإعداد هذا الكتاب الذي يجمع مختلف فتاوى الشيخ "بدران" وبعض فتاوى علماء آخرين هم بمرتبته وهدفها إفادة أهل العلم والفضل بما في هذه الفتاوى من فوائد هامة يجب على كل مسلم الاطلاع عليها والتعرف على أحكامها الشرعية، واللافت في هذا الكتاب انه يتضمن مضمون الرسالة موضوع السؤال إلى جانب ما ورد في رد عليها بقلم صاحب الفتوى من العلماء. ومن الفتاوى التي دونها الكتاب نذكر: حكم الخيوط المموهة بالفضة وحكم الخياطة بها، حكم تغير المقبرة، حكم الخارج من اللبن مشوباً بالدم، في ضيق المسجد في الجمعة عن أهله، في الصيد المقتول ببندق الرصاص، في قول الفقهاء إذا ثبتت رؤية الهلال بمكان أو بلد لزم الصوم، حكم التصرف بمقابر المسلمين بالبناء والزراعة... هذا وقد جاء الكتاب محققاً بقلم المحقق محمد بن ناصر العجمي.
