يشتمل الكتاب على عدد من المحاور تبدأ من ولادة فيثاغورس، وسنواته الأولى في تلقيه العلم، إلى دراساته في أيونا، ورحلته إلى مصر وبابل، وإلى بلاد الإغريق، ثم إيطاليا، مروراً بفلسفته حول (المعرفة – الصداقة) وعنايته بعلم الفلك والكون وبالرياضيات، والسياسة والعدالة، وتعالميه ومعتقداته وتأثيره في العالم حتى يومنا هذا.
