مسرح أحداث كشف الرؤوس تؤسسه مجموعة تواصل إجتماعي تسمى "ليبرو" والتي تتنامى تدريجياً لتصبح عالماً سحرياً يلجأ إليه كل مريدي الخلاص من هيمنة مواريث وقيم له يُسمح لهم التعرُّف على غيرها، تنقل لك رسالة مفادها أن الرأس هو مركز عمليات الحواس والإنفعالات ومنبع الحرية داخل قبته تحاك دسائسك وتتبلور أحلامك وتحمل راياتك البيضاء مستسلماً لغزوات رؤوس أخرى، وقد تتهاوى من سطحه أقمشة عمائم وقبعات ثم تسقط في هوة سحيقة لا قرار لها.
الشخصيات المحورية في الرواية تتمثل بالشيخ عبد الله المتحول فكرياً في الخفاء "الحامل وزر تناقضاته الهائم في ملكوت الأنا والذي يلتقي عبر شبكة "ليبرو" بميلاد التي تعترك غمار المستحيل وتترك أولادها لتقبض على الحرية في السويد ثم زينب التي تتزعم ثورة الأهواء تلبس رداء الجريمة بعد تمردها على غطاء الرأس وأعراف عائلتها.
يجتمع الثلاثة حول مائدة "ليبرو" ليتقاسمو خبز الحرية وشراب الأفكار وليكشف كل منهم عن العصافير النائمة تحت قبعته.
