يحاول البحث دراسة التناص نظرياً وتطبيقياً، ورصد مواطنه، وتحليلها وشرح جمالياتها في شعر شعراء النقائض، بغية إظهار قدرتهم وبراعتهم في نقل الأفكار والثقافة اللغويّة من الشعر الجاهلي والإسلاميّ إلى شعرهم، وبيان كيفية استفادتهم من هذه الأشعار في تطوير أشعارهم وتجديدها وصياغتها صياغة جديدة، وصهرها في نموذج شعريّ جديد، كتب له أن يسود في القرن الثاني الهجريّ، ويؤثر في النماذج التالية عليه.
فالمنهج لم يدرس هؤلاء الشعراء في هذا الإطار ودراستهم في هذا الإطار تمكن ن كشف هذا التجديد والتطوير والصهر، وأبعاده الفكرية، وأثره في الثقافة الفرديّة والحضاريّة، وذكاء صاحبه الفنيّ، وقدرته على الإكتساب، ومدى إتساع حمصيلته اللّغويّة والفكرية، وأثره على شعريّته، لعلنا بذلك كله نتحسس أثر ثورة فكريّة لغويّة أو شحن فكريّ لغويّ دعا للتجديد والتميّز، في محاولةِ كلٍّ منهم إلى التجديد، والهروب من التقليد والجمود، والتمركُز في قالب واحدٍ جامدٍ يحاكي فيه الواحد غيره محاكاةً عمياء، لا ينظر فيها إلى هدىً أو ضلال، لمجرد الردّ والنقض والتقليد، لنَلحظ بعد هذا إنفراز الجديد الفكريّ الذي تميّز به شعراء النقائض، ولم يتناصّوا به مع غيرهم من الشّعراء، لتَتبْع الإضافة التي عمل هؤلاء الشعراء على إثراء العربيّة لها...
