فهو علم إشكاليّ بإمتياز، بدأ من التشكيك في أصوله وبمنابعه الإسلاميّة الأصيلة، ومدى موافقة تعاليمه مع تعاليم الشريعة الإسلاميّة، وقدرة هذا العلم على معرفة الواقع وكشف الحقائق الوجوديّة، وبالتالي بناء رؤية كونيّة متكاملة حول الوجود والإنسان، وإنتهاءً بصحة منهجه المعرفي، وهي من الإشكاليات الكبيرة التي تواجه هذا العلم.
ونحن في هذا البحث، لا ندّعي أنّنا أجبنا بالكامل على كلّ هذه الأسئلة والتصوّرات، ولكنّها محاولة من أجل بناء تصوّر صحيح ومنطقي حول أصول ومبادئ هذا العلم.
