تذكرت كلماتها عندما قالت : كان وجهه صافيا منيرا ممتلئا كأن لم يكن يعاني المرض ، (استعادتي لكلام والدتي - عن والدها - أيقظني لشيء) ، ارتجف بدني ،خفق قلبي بنبضات تهز أضلاعي ، رجف فؤادي ، شهقت شهقة أعقبتها بصرخة حارقة ، تذكرت صفاء وجه صغيري، صرخت اخرى : ولدي : قفزت وكأن مخالب تطير بي إلى صغيري ، ادخلت يدي بسرعة تحت كتفيه حملته ، نفضته بقوة ، صرخت بكل صوتي . لم يستيقظ ، هززته اكثر . استيقظ الكل مرعوبا ولم يستيقظ الصغير ، كان صراخي عميقا مرتجفا ،تحول إلى بحة وازيز ، من دون كثير جهد أو تمعن ،ادركت أنه مات ، فارق الحياة.
