والقاموس يحوي بني دفتيه أكثر من سبعة آلاف مصطلح تم اختيارها وترتيبها بعناية لتلبي حاجة رحال القوات المسلحة العربية، فهي تشمل المصطلحات والمختصرات المستخدمة في الكتابة العسكرية باللغة الإنجليزية بوجه عام بالإضافة إلى كثير من المصطلحات الخاصة بالطيران والبحرية والتي لا بد من معرفتها بالإضافة لمختلف التخصصات في أفرع القوات المسلحة المختلفة وبالعودة لأسلوب المعجم في ترتيب المعجم نجد أنه قد توخى فيه الترتيب الأبجدي الدقيق وذلك ليسهل على المطلع الكشف على الكلمات والمصطلحات وليكون القاموس في خدمة جميع القراء العسكريين وغير العسكريين.
