دعا الرسول الأكرم (صلى الله عليه وسلم) لكثير من أصحابه وعلى كثير من أعدائه فاستجيب له في كل الحالات، وكذلك أمر به وحض عليه فعمل به سلف الأمة وخلفها وكان كل ذلك أعدل شاهد وأوضح برهان على نفع الدعاء وفائدته كشأن سائر العبادات.
ولما كان الداعي هو المتوجه إلي الله تعالي ضراعة وخضوعاً، الواقف بين يديه ذلاً وخشوعاً، السائل له كل حوائجه علما منه بأنه تعالى هو معطيها والقادر عليها دون غيره، وكان الدعاء بهذا المفهوم من أسس العبادة كما نص عليه الرسول الأكرم (صلى الهه عليه وسلم)، لزم الداعي معرفة أركانه وشروطه وآدابه وأوقاته وأحواله، فإنه كلما استوفاها إتياناً كان أكثر لله تعالي تعظيماً إجلالاً، وكانت إجابته أقرب في الحال ومآلا.
وقد صنف العلماء الأبرار في بيان تلك الآداب الكتب المطولات والمختصرات، وأوضحوا ما يتعين تحريه منها وما يجب تجنبه من الأمور التي تعتبر في الدعاء من الاعتداءات، وكان منها كتاب الشيخ العالم العامل الولي الصالح سيدي أبي الحسن علي النوري الصفاقسي (ت1118هـ) الذي كان لآداب الدعاء السنية جامعاً، ولمحدثاته وبدعه السيئة مانعاً، فطابق اسمه مسماه، وكان حقاً خير عون للسائلين لنيل فضل رب العالمين باستجابة دعائهم، لذا حرصنا علي تحقيقه وإخراجه لينتفع عامة الناس به، نظراً لسهولته ووجازته، وإغنائه عن كثير من المطولات التي لا تطالها إلا أيدي العلماء والباحثين، والله نسأل أن يتقبل منا ومن جميع المسلمين خالص أعمالنا لوجهه الكريم، وأن يوقفنا بذل العبادة والدعاء بين يديه، إنه هو السميع العليم.
