ويأمل الباحثان: ان يكون المؤلف جهداً علمياً وعملياً ورسالة إنسانية لمن كانت جهودهم وظائف خدمة للآخرين زماناً - رسالة تعني كبار السن والمتقدمين بالعجز على أن يواصلوا نعمة الله تعالى عليه بالشكر والصبر والتحسب.
إن الرياضة للمسنين هي البديل وطوق النجاة وواحة والترويج التي ينشدها كل إنسان بلغ مرحلة الشيخوخة.
إن موضوع هذا الكتاب هو محاولة لإستجلاء أبعاد المعنى الحديث لرياضة المسنين لما لها من إرتباط إيجابي بالعديد من مجالات الإنسان الحيوية.
