ليس أضر على النفس من الجهل والتعصب والهوى، وهذه الثلاثة هي مركب الغلوّ والتقصير، ولا أضر على الأمة من الافتراق والتباغض، وفساد ذات البين، وهذه هي الحالقة التي تحلق الدين، وليس أنجا عند التنازع والاختلاف من الرد إلى كتاب الله تعالى، ومتابعة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في أقواله وأفعاله وأحواله.
ومن ادعى متابعة رسول الله صلى الله عليه ومحبته قولاً، وخالف سنته وهويته تطبيقاً وعملاً فغالى، بتفريط أو إفراط، فهو ممّن يصف المعصية بوصف الطاعة، ويخشى أن يكون من الدعاة على أبواب جهنم. وفي هذا الإطار جاء كتاب الدكتور "الصادق عبد الرحمن القرياني" "الغلو في الدين ظواهر من غلو التطرف وغلو التصوف"، وفيه يتناول المؤلفون وجوهاً في الغلوّ، منها ما يحسب على الدين، على أنه تضحيات وبذل، أو طاعات وقرب، وما هو إلا إساءة إلى الدين وأهله، ونبذ لتعاليمه وشرعه، وهذا مركب غلو التطرف والإفراط، ومنها ما هو، تشويه وتحريف، وتلبيس وتدليس، وهذا مسلك غلو التفريط والتضليل.
أما منهجه في تقرير الأحكام الواردة في هذا الكتاب فيتجلى باتباعه الصحيح من أقوال العلماء، وما عليه جماهيرهم، المسندة إلى كتاب الله تعالى والسنة الصحيحة، والدليل فهمه، دون التواء، أو تمحل في فهم النص، أو اتباع شواذ الأقوال، وغرائب الأحكام، ولو كان ذلك هو ما أطبق عليه، العامة وألفوه. ويحيط المؤلف بهذين الوجهين بالغلو قسم مضمون بحثه إلى قسمين وجعل تحت كل قسم منهما، عناوين عامة، في القسم الأول تحدث عن غلو المتطرفة، مبيناً معنى الغلو والأنواع الشائعة في غلو المتطرفة والتي هي: 1-غلو تفريط وإعراض عن التكاليف. 2-غلو أهل التكفير، 3-غلو الغرور بالاعتماد على كتب الحديث دون فقه. 4-غلو التعصب إلى الطائفة أو المذهب. 5-الغلو بانكسار المختلف منه أما في القسم الثاني فتحدث عن غلو المتصوفة مبيناً مظاهره العامة والتي هي: الغلو في رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم. الغلو في الأولياء، الغلو في كرامات الأولياء، زيارة القبور المشروعة، الدف والغناء أما الخاتمة فضمّنها خطوات في الإصلاح والعلاج.
