نظم المشرع الأوامر على العرائض في الباب العاشر من قانون المرافعات المصري رقم 13 لسنة 1968 وذلك في المواد من المادة 194 حتى المادة 200 ، وأجرى على هذه المواد عدة تعديلات آخرها التعديل بالقانون رقم 23 لسنة 1992 ، والقانون رقم 18 لسنة 1999 ، والأمر على العريضة جد مهم في حالة إصداره من القاضي بما له من سلطة ولائية بناء على طلب ذوي الشأن برغبته في استصدار أمر على عريضة في غيبة الطرف الآخر "الخصم" ودون إعلانه، ودون تحقيق أو سماع دفاع من الطرف المقابل الذي سيصدر ضده الأمر.
وحيث أن الأوامر على العرائض رسم لها المشرع بعد هذه التعديلات حالاتها، وذلك في المواد من المادة 194 حتى المادة 200 من قانون المرافعات بالتعديلات التي أشرنا إليها آنفاً ولهذا سوف تكون خطة البحث لمؤلفنا هذا على النحو التالي:- تعريف الأوامر على العرائض وطبيعتها، حالات الأوامر على العرائض، إجراءات استصدار الأمر على عريضة، المحكمة المختصة بإصدار الأمر على عريضة، التظلم من الأمر على عريضة، سقوط الأمر على العريضة في حالة صدوره وإشكالات التنفيذ، وأخيراً محاولة حصر أكبر عدد من حالات الأوامر على العرائض في القوانين المصرية وشرح مبسط على كل مادة متعلقة بها مع الصيغة المفترض تقديمها للمحكمة بطلب إستصدار الأمر.
