هذا الكتاب يتناول موضوع الصحة النفسية الذي هو محور فكر الانسان وشغله الشاغل .. موضوع شخصيته وكيانه ، بل على أساسه يتوقف وضعه بين الناس والمجتمع ، ولا نبالغ إذا قلنا إنه موضوع الذي على أساسه يحيا الانسان أو ينعدم، ويأتي الكتاب في عدة فصول : يتناول الفصل الأول منه مفهوم الصحة النفسية وأهميتها، وأهدافها، ويتناول الفصل الثاني أساليب ومناهج البحث في الصحة النفسية، والفصل الثالث يشمل العناية بالصحة النفسية والالتزام، ويأتي الفصل الرابع ليشمل بعض الأمراض المتعلقة بالصحة النفسية مثل : الإرهاق، الألم، العلاج البديل، ويتناول الكتاب في الفصل الخامس أهم الأمراض المزمنة وصلتها بالصحة النفسية وبحث مفهومها وأسبابها ، و نواحي العلاج والوقاية العلمية والنفسية، وفي الفصل السادس يتناول الكتاب الصحة السلوكية وما يتعلق بها من موضوعات تهم المجتمع عامة مثل : التدخين والمخدرات وتناول الكحوليات وبيان مفاهيمها وكيفية الوقاية منها، وفي الفصل السابع يتناول الكتاب التوجيه المستقبلي للصحة النفسية وتوصل إلى رؤية للتوجيه المستقبلي للصحة النفسية فيما يتعلق بالتوجيه والإرشاد في المستقبل وتطوير الخدمات النفسية والمجال التربوي والأخصائي النفسي التربوي ومجال الثقافة النفسية للمجتمع والتنمية البشرية، ونأمل أن يساهم هذا الكتاب بخطوة في طريق سلامة الصحة النفسية ويفيد القارئ بمنهاج واضح في هذا المجال.
