غياب هيبة المعلم ظاهرة مرضية بدأت تظهر في الميدان التربوي شملت أبعادها كلاً من الدارس والمدرس والدرس والمدرسة.
فما حقيقة هذا المرض؟ وما هي أعراضه وآثاره، والأسباب التي أدت إلى ذلك؟ ومن المسؤول؟ وكيف الخلاص؟ هذه التساؤلات وغيرها سيكون عليها مدار البحث.
هذا الكتاب رسالة أبعثها لكل من يحمل هم المجتمع ويعيش لعزة أمته ورفعتها. إلى من أخذ على عاتقه أداء الأمانة، إلى فرسان الميدان من المعلمين والمعلمات، إلى أصحاب القرار وأولياء الأمور: أبعث لهم هذه الرسالة وفي طياتها هموم وأحزان، خواطر وأفكار، دروس وعبر، أحلام وأمنيات، عقبات وعثرات، واحات وتأملات، مشكلات وحلول. لنقف صفاً واحداً في السير إلى الأمام وتحدي الصعاب، وتحقيق الأهداف المادية والمعنوية، الدينية والدنيوية، التربوية والتعليمية...
وعنونت لهذا البحث بـ(هيبة المعلم بين الواقع والطموح). هذا وقد قسمته إلى أربعة فصول بالإضافة إلى المقدمة والتمهيد والخاتمة. تحدثت في المقدمة عن أهمية الموضوع وسبب اختياره مع الإشارة إلى بعض المباحث السابقة التي تناولت طرفاً من الموضوع، ثم حطة البحث ومنهج الكتابة. وتناول الفصل الأول الأسباب التي تخص المعلم في تراجع مكانته، وفيه بعض نقاط الضعف المأخوذة على المعلم وأهم ما ينبغي أن يتحلى به للحفاظ على هيبته.
أما الفصل الثاني فيتناول أسباب غياب هيبة المعلم التي تتعلق بالطالب وتتمثل في غياب الدافعية وسوء الخلق. وفي الفصل الثالث تحدثت عن الأسباب التي ترجع إلى المجتمع (المحلي والمدرسي) وفيه ما يتعلق بالأسرة ووسائل الإعلام والمسؤولين وبعض الأنظمة واللوائح، وهناك أسباب أخرى عامة. أما الفصل الرابع فخصصته للعلاج ويتضمن مقدمات هامة ثم بعض المقترحات وأهم التوصيات التي توصلت إليها. ثم الخاتمة وفيها خلاصة مهمة لما بين الواقع والطموح. وفي نهاية البحث ملحق خاص بالدراسة الميدانية (نتائج الاستبانة).
هذا وقد حرصت على الواقعية في طرح الموضوع بعيداً عن المثالية والطرح النظري ويتميز عن سابقه من البحوث بنظرة شاملة، متكاملة مترابطة حيث جمعت فيه بين هيبة المعلم في المدرسة ومكانته في المجتمع، وعززت البحث بالعديد من الشواهد الحية التي ينبض بها الميدان.
