ولم نكتف في كتابنا هذا بما هو نظري وتاريخي وتعريفي، بل انتقلنا إلى مرحلة الإنجاز والتطبيق على مجموعة من الأجناس الأدبية والظواهر الإجتماعية والفنية والأنشطة الإنسانية إن تفكيكاً وإن تركيباً، وإن تحليلاً وإن تأويلاً.
هذا، ويتخذ الكتاب طابعاً تعليمياً وبيداغوجيا تارة، وطابعاً علمياً فيه إجتهادات وآراء ومحاولات شخصية تارة أخرى، ومن ثم، يمكن أن يكون الكتاب مرجعاً علمياً مفيداً للباحثين في مجال السيميائيات النظرية والتطبيقية في الجامعات العربية بصفة عامة والجامعات المغربية بصفة خاصة.
هذا، وقد استفدنا كثيراً من آراء كريماص، وجوزيف كورتيس، وجاك فونتاني، وجماعة أنتروفيرن، ومدرسة باريس السيميائية، والشكلانية الروسية، فضلاً عن آراء فرديناند دوسوسير، وشارل ساندرس بيرس، ورومان جاكبسون وغيرهم الكثير.
وانتقلنا كذلك من سيميائية الفعل والعمل إلى سيميائية الأهواء والأشياء، وسيميائية الكلام الروائي، فسيميائية التفكير الروئي، ثم الإنفتاح قدر الإمكان على مشاريع سيميائية أخرى قد تنفع عملنا بشكل من الأشكال سواء من قريب أم من بعيد كسيميائية الأشكال الرمزية، وسيميائية الشعر، وسيميائية التأويل، والسيميائية الإجتماعية....
