تهدف دراستنا إلى التعرف على النظام القانوني للطفل وتناول قانون الطفل المصري من حيث جوانبه افيجابية وجوانبه السلبية، ومن حيث ما ورد بالقانون من حقوق الطفل ومعاكلته الجنائية، وتناول عوامل جنوحه ووضع ضوابط لحالات تعرضه للخطر، والتعرف على حقوق الطفل وواجب المجتمع في أن يدافع عن تلك الحقوق لعدم وعي الطفل بحقوقه، ومن ثم فإن أفراد المجتمع مسئولون وملتزمون بدفع أي انتهاك أو إضرار بحقوق الطفل، والتي تنبع من حقوق الإنسان بصفة عامة، ولن نتطرق لحقوق الإنسان بصفة عامة ولكن لحقوق الطفل فقط سواء الواردة في القانون أو الإتفاقيات الدولية، والتي تولد معه بوصفها أمر مقدس يجب مراعاتها وعدم المساس بها، ولا يجب أن يضطهد الإنسان أو يتعرض له غيره، ولكن أن يكون محرراً نم سلطة الآخرين، كما نتناول المعاملة الجنائية للطفل في القوانين الوضعية والإتفاقيات الدولية، ونتعرض لكيفية معاقبته وحمايته من التعرض للخطر، والعقوبات المقررة عليه، وكيفية التعامل معه في حالة اتهامه في قضايا جنائية أو وجوده في حالة من حالات التعرض للخطر، وسوف نقوم بتقسيم الكتاب لبابين، وذلك على النحو التالي: (الباب الأول: حقوق الطفل، الباب الثاني: المعاملة الجنائية للطفل).
