لابد أن نقر بأن أمتنا العربية تمر بمرحلة من التمزق والضعف والوهن لم يشهد له التاريخ العربى الإسلامى مثيلاً من قبل. الأمر الذى يتطلب ضرورة سرعة العودة إلى عقيدتنا العسكرية الحقة (الإسلامية) المغيبة، وأقصد بذلك العقيدة العسكرية النابعة من الكتاب والسنة حتى تكون منبعاً لإرادة القتال للقوى البشرية العسكرية وموجهاً للسياسة العسكرية إلى مسارها الصحيح لنصرة الحق ورد المعتدى. ولذا فسوف يعتمد البحث فى العقيدة العسكرية الإسلامية على المصادر الرئيسية للشريعة الإسلامية (القرآن والسنة النبوية الشريفة أساساً) باعتبارها المثل الحى للعقيدة العسكرية الحقة. وترجع أهمية هذه الدراسة إلى: أن وجود عقيدة عسكرية حقة يتم غرسها فى نفوس القوى البشرية وتطبيقها تطبيقاً سليماً (نصاً وروحاً ) تكون منبعاً لإرادة القتال لهذه القوى إذا أحسن غرسها فى نفوسها وتكون الشعلة التى تضىء قلب المقاتل بنور الإيمان بالقضية التى يقاتل من أجلها بحيث تشكل فى نفسه قوة ذاتية تحركه وتدفعه إلى الفدائية فى القتال. ومع ندرة المراجع التى تتناول العقيدة العسكرية الإسلامية وافتقار كثير من القوى البشرية العسكرية العربية إلى البيانات والمعلومات عن هذه العقيدة. وجدت من جانبى كرجل عسكرى مسلم أن أقدم هذا الجهد المتواضع الذى يتمثل فى هذه الدراسة لأبناء الأمة العربية والإسلامية.
