في هذا الكتاب لم نقنع بعرض الملامح الأساسية للدولة التنموية، ولكننا تعرضنا بالتحليل للمشكلات الأساسية الخاصة بالتحديث الحضاري للمجتمع المصري، الذي لا يحتاج فقط إلى جهود علمية متكاملة لنقله من حال التخلف إلى التقدم، ولا يقل أهمية عن ذلك تبني رؤية استراتيجية كفيلة برسم ملامح المستقبل الذي يضمن للأجيال الجديدة – في ظل تنمية مستدامة – الحق في العيش والحرية والكرامة والإنسانية، وهي الشعارات الأساسية لثورة 25 من يناير 2011 المجيدة.
