يضم هذا الكتاب بين دفتيه منظومة الزراعة النظيفة، وهو مصطلح أشمل وأعم من الزراعة العضوية حيث يشمل بجانب التسميد العضوي والتسميد الحيوي والمكافحة البيولوجية أيضا النباتات المعدلة أو المحورة وراثيا لمقاومة الأمراض والآفات والظروف البيئية القاسية؛ من جفاف وملوحة وحرارة؛ إعلاء لشأن التقنية الحيوية، ويتعدي ذلك إلي عمليات تدوير المخلفات الزراعية والاستفادة الكاملة منها – فهي نعمة لا نقمة – وكذا أنواع الزراعة غير النمطية ( بدون تربة ) وعمليات ترشيد الموارد الطبيعية من المنبع مثل المياه والطاقة والمواد الخام.
وقد تم التركيز علي إستراتيجية النوع – ولي الكم – التي يتجه إليها العالم الحديث، أي كيفية أو آلية تصنيع الأسمدة العضوية سواء من المخلفات الزراعية أو القمامة أو الحمأة أو الأسمدة الحيوية بواسطة ميكروبات التربة النافعة، والوصول بها للاستخدام الأمثل علي نطاق تجاري واسع وفي حالة آمنة تماما مع تقليل المستهلك في مدخلات العملية الزراعية – بما فيها خصوبة التربة ذاتها – والمصادر المائية والمواد الخام.
