ويوضح الكتاب الفنون والمهارات اللازمة لإدارة المؤتمرات الصناعية كما يعرض لدور الإدارة في معركة التنمية وخاصة تنمية الموارد البشرية أو الثروة البشرية التي هي أغلى وأثمن الثروات جميعاً. ويوضح الكتاب دور الإدارة في المحافظة على صحة العمال الجسمية والعقلية ووقايتهم من حوادث العمل وإصاباته. ويستعرض الكتاب سمات المدير الكفأ وكذلك المشرف في المجالات الصناعية، مع بيان دور الإدارة في تنمية الإبداع والتفكير العلمي الموضوعي البعيد عن الأهواء الذاتية والتطرق والتشبث بالرأي.
ومن الموضوعات التي يدليها الكتاب أهمية سيكولوجية المستهلك والعوامل المؤثرة في عملية الاستهلاك ويقدم الكتاب نموذجاً لبعض الدراسات الميدانية التي يمكن أن تجري في الحقل الصناعي أو المهني مع شرح أساليبها القياسية والإحصائية، إذ تتطلب الإدارة الحديثة إلمام المدير بالفنون الإحصائية إلى جانب الخبرة التقنية والمهارات القيادية والمعارف السيكولوجية.
