هذا الكتاب شرح لرسالة "حق اليقين" لمحمود الشبستري، وهي رسالة أخذ يشعر المحققون أنها وبعد مرور سبعمائة عام على كتابتها أصبحت عباراتها غير واضحة وغير مأنوسة، فكانت الاستفادة منها قليلة وفي غير المستوى المطلوب، على اعتبار أن المفاهيم التي عالجها مفاهيم راقية صعبة غير ميسر لغير العرفاء وأصحاب السلوك إدراك مكنوناتها والقيام بعمليات تجزئة وتحليل لمفاهيمها، من جهة أخرى يعتبر الشبستري صاحب باع طويل في العرفان، على الرغن من العمر القصير الذي عاشه، حيث توفي عن سن 33 عاماً، ولكنه مع هذا العمر أصبح واحداً من نوابغ العرفاء.
