Book Description
يحتوي هذا المجلد على أربعة كتب من مؤلفات المازني ضمنها كتاب الديوان الذي كان قد بدأ تأليفه مع الأستاذ العقاد، ولكنهما لم يتمّاه، وهذه الكتب هي :"شعر حافظ"، "الشعر غاياته ووسائطه"، "الديوان، كتاب في الأدب والنقد(بالاشتراك مع العقاد)"، حصاد الهشيم".
وكلها قائمة على تجميع مقالات نُشرت أولاً متفرقة ثم تمَّ جمعها في كتب. يقول المازني في مقدمة كتابه "شعر حافظ": "لا ننكر ما لدراسة الأدب القديم من النفع والفائدة، وما للخبرة ببراعات العظماء قديمهم وحديثهم، من الفائدة والأثر الجليل في تربية لروح، ولكنه لا يخفى عنا أن ذلك ربما كان مدعاة لفناء الشخصيّة والذهول عن الغاية التي يسعى إليها الأديب والغرض الذي يعالجه الشاعر، والأصل في الكتابة بوجه عام.
على أنه مهما يكن فضل القدماء ومزيتهم فليس ثم مساغ للشك في أنك لا تستطيع أن تبلغ مبلغهم من طريق الحكاية والتقليد".
