لابد وأن نعود للجذور.. أن نرجع إلى الوراء سنيناً عديدة تزيد كثيراً عن السنين عاماَ.. ونتجاوز الحدود ونخرج من فلسطين العربية إلى حيث تكمن جذور المشكلة فى أوربا الإستعمارية الإمبريالية، وهذا ما نجده مع الأستاذ "إيهاب كمال" فى هذا الكتاب.. الذى أخرجه طوق نجاه من النسيان وتناول فيه الصراع العربي الإسرائيلى فالسنين طالت والجراح غارت ولازالت فلسطين وصراعاتها متواصلة. لهذا فقد أورد المؤلف فى كتابه ومنذ الفصول الأولى حديثاً مسهباً عن الصهيونية والفكر الذى أنبتها والظروف التى حتمت مولدها، هذا قبل أن يلج فى سرد تاريخ الحروب منذ ما يسبق حرب 1948 إلى حرب أكتوبر المجيد بين العرب وإسرائيل. ولقد تميز الكتاب بأنه يجمع بين الأيدلوجيات والنظريات التاريخية وبين تطبيقها فى الحياة السياسية، وكذلك إشتماله على الحقائق التاريخية مدعمه بالأقارم والسنوات وذلك فيما يتعلق بالمحازر اليهودية على وجه الخصوص.. إنه مرجعاً يقدم كماً لا يستهان به من المعلومات، يعد إضافة للمكتبة العربية.. كما يعبر عن حاجة ملحة حتى لاتطوى القضية وأوراقها وتغيب فى ثبايا الذاكرة.
