تهدف الدراسة الحالية إلى التحقق من أثر استخدام استراتيجية القصة ولعب الدور على تنمية القدرات والسمات الإبداعية لدى أطفال الروضة. وتعد هذه الدراسة مدخلاً لتبني برامج تدريبية لتنمية القدرات والسمات الإبداعية في أنشطة ومناهج مرحلة الرياض في دولة الكويت, رعاية وتنمية القدرات والسمات الإبداعية لدى الأطفال باعتبارهم سند الأمة وذخيرة المستقبل, خاصة في مرحلة ما قبل المدرسة التي توصف بمرحلة الإبداع والسؤال.
ومما يزيد من أهمية هذه الدراسة ندرة الدراسات حول هذا الجانب وفتح الطريق أمام بحوث أخرى في مجال البرامج التدريبية للطفل. أما عن حدود الدراسة فهي (الحدود البشرية: أطفال المستوى الثاني بمرحلة الروضة ممن تتراوح أعمارهم ما بين 5- 6 سنوات, الحدود المكانية: روضتان من رياض الأطفال التابعة لوزارة التربية بدولة الكويت, الحدود الزمانية: تم تطبيق الدراسة في فصل الربيع 2001- 2002).
