لا يتبنى الكتاب دعوة إلى تسويق أفكار مسبقة او مجرد عملية تجميل.. او مجرد دعوة من قبيل ذلك النمط الذي تتبعه مجريات المؤتمرات والندوات التى تعقدها الجامعات أو الوزارات.. وغنما يتبنى الكتاب ، حوار يرتسم في مضمونة فلسفة ومنهجا للتفكير والتدبر ، استنادا إلى أنه ليس هناك من يمتلك الحقيقة المطلقة والإجابة القاطعة في المسائل الاجتماعية والانسانية .. كما أنه ليس هناك جهول جهلا مطلقا ينتظر الإجابة الكاملة والمعرفة الرشيدة من فوق ، وإنما تتولد المعرفة من حوار جدلي ، يتواصل بين مختلف الأطراف.. يقع الكتاب في أربعة فصول ، يبدأ أولها بتأكيد أن التعليم هو الصانع الأول والفاعل لمستقبلنا مشيرا في الفصل الثاني إلى بدهية ، يشكل بتداركها أمرا في غاية الأهمية وهى أن تطوير التعليم عملية مستمرة تحتاج إلى وفاق محتمعي واقتحام عنصر التكنولوجيا ومركزا على ضرورة الانتفاع المعرفي والخصائص التى لابد ان يتسم بها المناهج الدراسية في الفصل الثالث من الكتاب.. ومركزا في آخر فصول الكتاب على أدوار المعلم فيما يتصل بقدرته على تحرير طاقات المتعلم وتشكيل وعيه، وكيفية ترشيد جهود المعلمين في دلالة واضحة على قيمة عوائد التعليم.
