في صدد هذه الدراسة.
تنظم الموضوعات التي قام بها الإمام حول أربعة محاور كبرى:
1- غاية السير والسلوك، التي هي معرفة الله.
2- السالك في هذا الطريق، أي الإنسان، وبخاصة الإنسان الذي بلغ الغاية وبات عليه أن يقود الآخرين إليها: الإمام الذي هو الإنسان الكامل.
3- الطريق، أحكامه، وعقباته وبلوغ الغاية بكمال الإنسان: الرجوع إلى الله.
4- الوسيلة التي بها يكون طي هذا الطريق، أي الصلاة، شعيرة الإسلام المحورية التي تجمع بما فيها من ترميز أسرار الغيب والهدى كلها.
وإذ كان العزم على الإحاطة بآراء الإمام في البدء، فقد تبيّن خلال تحقيق هذا العمل أن ذلك لم يكن ممكناً إلا إذا جُعل لهذه الدراسة ما يتناسب وحجم موضوعها المعتبر، أو يقع الإضطرار إلى إيجاز مخلّ حتماً بما يعرض. ومن أجل ذلك نحيل المحاور الثلاثة الأخرى إلى أبحاث لاحقة، سنعكف هنا حصراً على المحور الأول، أي محور معرفة الله، ولكن بالتوسّع فيه حدّ استفاده، دون ترك أي زاوية منه ما خلا نقاط ذات خاصية تقنية. وسنبحر من تفكر في الوجود لنبلغ أساسه أي حقيقة الوجود، ثم سنشرع في البحث عن حقيقة الوجود بذاته من قبل أن نرى كيف أن الله المحتجب الذي لا يمكن أن يدرك يظهر في من يقوم مقامه، الإنسان الكامل، ولي الله التام، الذي فيه تظهر الأسماء الإلهية وكمالات الوجود. وترسو هذه الرحلة في الإلهيات على ساحل ظهور "الوجود الساري" لأن منه يبدأ "قوس نزول" فيض الوجود، من خلال ظهور عالم الخلق، ثم يعود الوجود إلى مبدأه عبر القوس المتمم لدائرة القوس السابق، وهو ثمرة سلوك الإنسان على الصراط المستقيم، صراط الإنسان الكامل والولاية.
