كتيب من سلسلة (رسائل العين)، غرضها الإرشاد والدعوة. يعالج هذا الجزء من السلسلة أفكاراً تتعلق بجوهر التعليم، ويقدم نصائح جليلة بهذا الصدد.
وربط العلم بآفاق ربانية، ورأى أن يهتم المتعلم بالجزئيات قبل الكليات، وبالأصول قبل الفروع، وأن يعني بالعلوم الشرعية أولاً، وبالعلوم الهامة قبل غيرها، والعلوم الواضحة قبل الغامضة، وأن يلتمس الأساليب السهلة ويكون مرناً في الأخذ بالعلوم، ويتدرج فيه، وأن يأخذ بالمتفق عليه، وألا يتتبع شوارد المسائل، ويبتعد عن الخوض فيما يقود إلى الخلاف.
كما يرى أن التعليم يجب أن يعتمد المزج بالدقائق، ويبتعد عن التكلف، وأن تكون أجوبة الأسئلة زيادة عن قدر السؤال للإيضاح، وأن يعتمد في عملية التعليم على الحوار.
ووضع المؤلف ضوابط للانفتاح في التعليم، منها التواضع وتوافر القدرة، والكلام الرقيق، والمنهجية، وعدم التوجه بصغار الطلاب إلى شوارد العلوم. وذكر أخيراً أنه لا بد من منهج متكامل في التعليم ينطلق من البيئة الحضارية العلمية.
