لابد أن يعي كل أب وأم أن الأطفال هم نتاج حديثنا عنهم, فتلك الصفحة البيضاء تنتظر أقلامنا كي تمتلئ, وهذه الأقلام حبرها كلامنا وأفعالنا وتعليقاتنا على أفعال الطفل وشخصيته, فإذا كان الكلام عن الطفل, فإنه غير قادر على تحديد الصواب والخطأ فيه إنما هو يأخذ من انطباعات الناس عنه وحديثهم عليه وعلى شخصيته يأخذ انطباعاته عن نفسه وعن شخصيته. فإذا ما أصر من حوله أن يصفوه بضعف الشخصية, واهتزاز الثقة وعدم القدرة على الابداع, فإنه سيعتقد ذلك في نفسه, وسيتعامل مع نفسه على أنه ضعيف الشخصية, ومهزوز الثقة وغبي, بل وسيحاول إثبات صحة هذه الصفات من خلال ما يقع له من أحداث. أما إذا وصفوه بالخصال الحسنة مثل الذكاء والإبداع سيحاول الطفل بجدية أن يكون بهذه الصفات. فلماذا نقتل الإبداع فى نفوس أطفالنا. يجب أن يعلم كل من يتعامل مع الطفل سواء كان الأب أو الأم أو المعلم أو المدرب لابد أن يعلم الجميع أن ما يقولونه عن الطفل نغرس في ذاته, ويظل الطفل يتصيد ما يحدث له من مواقف مختلفة ليتخذ منه دليلاً على صحة كلام من حوله حتى يتحول هذا إلى حقيقة راسخة, وصفة متأصلة في الطفل لا يمكن أن تمحي إلا بجهد شديد. وهذا الكتاب محاولة للبحث بداخل أطفالنا عن المهارات والإبداعات والمواهب التى يتميزون بها من خلال ألعاب التفكير المسلية.
