ويطرح هذا الكتاب أيضاً سلسلة من المواضيع النظرية الهامة المرتبطة بوسائل تبليغ المعلومات. هذا ويبدأ الكتاب بسرد لتواريخ مختلفة للنزاع لإيضاح مجموعة المعتقدات والآراء التي هي مدار نزاع وجدل في هذه المنطقة والفصل الثاني من الكتاب هو دراسة عن محتوى الأخبار التلفزيونية.وفي الفصل الثالث تم تفحص آراء المستفتين حول مدى فهم مشاهدي التلفزيون لما يرون ويسمعون واستجابتهم للأخبار المتعلقة بالنزاع. وفي الفصل الرابع تم نقاش العوامل الرئيسية التي تؤثر في وضع الأخبار المرتبطة بالنزاع الإسرائيلي-الفلسطيني، بما فيها تأثير العلاقات العامة. ويعرض الفصل الخامس لبعض الاستنتاجات حول الدراسة.
