الجَوَالِيقي (466 - 540 هـ = 1073 - 1145 م)
موهوب بن أحمد بن محمد بن الخضر بن الحسن، أبو منصور بن الجواليقى
• عالم بالأدب واللغة. مولده ووفاته ببغداد.
• كان يصلى إماما بالمقتفي العباسي. وقرأ عليه المقتفى بعض الكتب. نسبته إلى عمل الجواليق وبيعها.
• قال ابن القفطى: وهو من مفاخر بغداد.

• (المعرب - ط) في ما تكلمت به العرب من الكلام الأعجمي
• (تكملة إصلاح ما تغلط فيه العامة - ط)
• (أسماء خيل العرب وفرسانها - خ)
• (شرح أدب الكاتب - ط)
• (العروض) صنفه للمقتفى.
قال ابن الجوزى: لقيت الشيخ أبا منصور الجواليقي، فكان كثير الصمت، شديد التحري فيما يقول، متقنا محققا، وربما سئل المسألة الظاهرة التي يبادر بجوابها بعض غلمانه، فيتوقف فيها حتى يتيقن (1)

Book Description
حماسة أبي تمام من كتب الإختيارات المهمة التي وصلت إلينا، وزاد من أهميتها رفعة الذوق الشعري الذي كان يتمتع به شاعرنا أبو تمام، فقد جمع فيها أحسن ما وقع إليه من شعر العرب، قراءة وسماعاً.
وقد عرف أبو تمام بسعة إطلاعه على أشعار العرب، فقد ترك لنا مصنفات أخرى إضافة إلى الحماسة، تضمنت مجموعة مما اختاره من أشعار العرب، منها (الإختيار القبائلي الأكبر)، وقد اختار فيه من كل قبيلة قصيدة، وقد أطلع عليه الآمدي، ومنها الإختيار المتضمن لقطات من محاسن شعراء الجاهلية والإسلام إلى إبراهيم بن هرمة، ومنها اختيار مجرد في أشعار المحدثين، وذكر الآمدي أنه موجود في أيدي الناس في عصره.
