زخرت المكتبة الحديثية بكتب السُّنة النبوية الشريفة ، جمعاً وتصنيفاً ، وانتخاباً وتخريجاً ، ورواية وتمحيصاً . اعتنى بها الحُفاظ المهرة والمحدثون البررة ، ووضعوا أجزاءاً أسموها بالفوائد ، وهي تهتم غالباً بأحاديث الأفراد والغرائب ، أو الأحاديث المعلّة التي وقع بها خطأ في متنها أو إسنادها ...
وفي هذا الكتاب دأب الأستاذ بدر العمراني الطنجي على جمع وتحقيق ودراسة نسخ مخطوطة من " المنتقى من فوائد أبي القاسم سعد بن علي بن محمد الحافظ الزَّنجاني المتوفي سنة 471ه " من رواية الشيخ أبي القاسم الحسين بن مسافر بن الحسين العسقلاني ، رواية أبي الضياء بدر بن عبد الله الحبشي .. وآخرون ويضم ( 64 ) حديثاً بالتواتر جاءت على صيغة أخبرنا وحدثنا كما يضم المنتقى جزءاً في " تحريم أكل الطين " من جمع الحافظ أبي القاسم إبن منده ( ت 470 ه ) وهو من رواية المحدث المفيد أبي زكريا يحي بن عبد الوهاب إبن منده ( ت 511 ه ) وجمع فيه ما روي عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم من أحاديث في تحريم أكل الطين . عمل المحقق الطنجي على تصحيحه والتعليق عليه ، حاكماً على الأحاديث بما يليق بها ؛ وفق منهج المحدثين في التخريج ودراسة الأسانيد ، ليخلص بالقول : أن كل أحاديثه ضعيفة هالكة واهية ؛ بل جلها مختلفة موضوعة ... " .
وأما الجزء الثالث من هذا المجموع فهو يتحدث عن سيرة الشيخ عبد الله بن إدريس السنوسي / رائد المدرسة الأثرية بالمغرب وبذيله " إجازة الشيخ عبد الله السنوسي للعلاّمة المحدث أحمد شاكر وإجازته للأديب محمد بن حسين بن محسن الأنصاري ، وإجازة العلامة القاضي محمد بن أحمد العلوي الإسماعيلي تلميذ السنوسي للشيخ محمد المهدي الكتاني " . ويختتم الكتاب بصور من نسخ المخطوطات الآنفة الذكر .
