وسوف يجد في هذا الكتاب رؤية شاملة عن الموسيقى الطقسية السريانية التي خبِرَها المؤلِّف وحفِظها عن ظهر قلب، كذلك سيكتشِف أنّ أٌصول أوروبا، قبل أن تكون رومانية أو إغريقية أو يهودية، مسيحية، ترسّخت شرق المتوسِّط، وبالتحديد في بلاد ما بين النهرّين.
فملحمة جلجامش تُقدِّم نظرة إيجابية عن المرأة وعن دورها الحضاري المتقدِّم عدّة قرون على عصرنا الحديث.
أمّا كنيسة المشرق، التي كانت قديماً أكثر أهميّة من الكنيسة الغريبة، فقد تأسّست قبل اللاتين بكثيرٍ حتى في الهند والصين، وخصوصاً أنّها لم تبحث عن فرضٍ لُغتها وثقافتها على تلك الشُّعوب، بل تعاملت معها بكلّ إحترام، ففي نظرها، بإمكان كلّ شعب بفضل الروح؛ كما في العُنصرة، أن يسمع الله يتكلّم بلغته الخاصة، لأن دور الروح أساسي في الليتورجيا وفي اللاهوت كما في فهم الجماعة المسيحية، وهذا عنصر لا غِنى عنه لفهم كنيسة المشرق.
يُتحِفنا الكاتب أيضاً بنظرته إلى الأشياء التي يتمسّك بها بما في ذلك حضارتنا الخاصة، بِقِيَمها وحدودها، وبذلك يُقدِّم لنا نظرة مختلفة لإنسان عاش الحضارتَين واختبرهما.
