هذه النكبة ليست نكبة فلسطين وحدها.. إنها نكبة الأمة الإسلامية والعربية كلها، وبرغم ما يصاحب ذكرى النكبة من آلأم ومعاناة لشعب بأكمله، فإن أمل العودة يظل حلماً يراود المهجرين حتى يعودوا إلى أرضهم وترابهم الزكي.
وهذه شهادة على أحداث النكبة منذ ميلادها مع هزيمة العرب في 1948م ، سجلها د. حسان حتحتوت، وهو واحد ممن عاصروا الأحداث، وشاركوا فيها ضمن بعثة طبية أرسلها الهلال الأحمر المصري، للمساعدة فى أعمال الإغاثة فى مستشفى الرملة كجهاد ورسالة وعقيدة.
وتأتى هذه الشهادة لتظل أحداث النكبة ماثة فى الذاكرة الوطنية الفلسطينية والعربية، حية فى ذاكرة الأجيال التى تأبى النسبان أو التنازل عن حقها فى العودة تحت راية الحرية والاستقلال والسيادة.
