ويقع الكتاب في أربعة فصول، خصص الفصل الأول بعرض أهمية تبني الإبداع في المؤسسات التربوية وعلاقة التفوق العقلي بالتوافق الشخصي وقيادة الجماعات كذلك علاقة الإبداع بالقيادة الإدارة والتربوية.
وخصص الفصل الثاني لعرض مفاهيم وتعاري الإبداع عبر الأدبيات الإدارية والتربوية وعرض التصانيف المحتملة لأنواع الإبداع ثم عرض نظرياته وفقاً لقدمها الزمني، في حين يتناول الفصل الثالث عرضاً مركزاً لمراحل الإبداع والتأليف الإستراتيجي لواقع أداء الإبداع في المنظمة التربوية، أما الفصل الرابع فيعرض الدراسات التي تناولت العوامل الإدارية المؤثرة المرتبطة بالإبداع.
