يبقى التاريخ هو صفحات الأمم والشعوب الخالدة، وهو المرآة الصادقة والأمينة التي لا تكذب اهلها، وقصة حياة وجهاد وانتصارات موحد الجزيرة العربية الملك عبد العزيز بن عبد الرحمن آل سعود رحمه الله، تعتبر ملحمة تاريخية وقصة كفاح فريدة ذات فصول متعددة ومعجزة نادرة. والمتأمل في تاريخ بطل الجزيرة يجد أن الأدب قد أخذ مكانه في حياته، حيث الكثير من شعراء العربية تغنوا بمجد الملك عبد العزيز وأشادوا بذكره، لأنهم وجدوا فيه القائد العربي العبقري والمخلص لأمته، لماضيها ومستقبلها، والشاعر والأديب فكتور ملحم البستاني كان شديد الإعجاب بشخصية الملك المؤسس، فكان لتاريخ ومسيرة كفاحه لتأسيس هذه البلاد المقدسة نُزله في أعماله، وهذا الإعجاب له ما يبرره لأنه يرى بأسرة آل سعود عراقة جمعت بين صحة العقيدة وثبات العزيمة في سبيل النهضة، وفي قائدها المجاهد الفذّ بطلاً أشغل الشرق والغرب ببسالته، والذي واكب حقبة زمنية مهمة من أخطر ما عانته المنطقة في تاريخها.
وقد رأت وسعت بدأب كبير دار مملكة نجد للنشر والتوزيع إلى إعادة طباعة ونشر هذه الملحمة الوطنية بطبعة ثانية، والتي سبقت وطبعت ( الطبعة الأولى منها عام 1957م)، كونها لم تأخذ مكانتها المستحقة في الإنتشار بالمكتبات المحلية والعربية، وللأهمية البالغة الذي يمثله تاريخ ونهج الملك الصالح والإمام العادل المليئ بالجهاد والبطولات، وتحقيق الإنجازات التاريخية لاستعادة ملك آبائه وأجداده، والتي توّجت بتأسيس وقيام المملكة العربية السعودية فخر العروبة وملجأها الحصين، كدولة تستظل براية التوحيد وتستمد نهجها في كل شؤونها من الشريعة الإسلامية السمحاء كنظام للحكم والشورى.
