يعد قطاع التجارة من أهم القطاعات الحيوية في أي مجتمع متقدم، وتعزيزًا للمكانة الدولية التي تحظي بها سلطنة عمان ودورها في إرساء السلام والأمن والعدالة في مختلف الأنشطة الإقتصادية فإن القطاع التجاري أحد أهم أعمدة الأنشطة الاقتصادية التي ينهض عليها الاقتصاد العماني، وينهض قطاع التجارة بصفة عامة في سلطنة عمان، على ثلاثة محاور أساسية هي: التجارة الخارجية، والتجارة الداخلية، وأخيرًا ظهر ما يسمى بالتجارة الإلكترونية، وتهتم دراستنا في هذا الموضوع ببيان الحماية القانونية لهذه الدعائم الأساسية على ضوء القوانين، والمراسيم، والاتفاقات الدولية التي انضمت إليها سلطنة عمان في هذا الشأن.
وترتكز دراستنا كما أسلفنا القول على بيان الحماية القانونية اللازمة للمحاور والدعائم الأساسية التي يقوم عليها قطاع التجارة العماني وهي: التجارة الخارجية، والتجارة الداخلية، والتجارة الالكترونية، وعلى ضوء هذا التقسيم فإن دراستنا ستكون على نحو الخطة التالية:-
الفصل الأول: الحماية القانونية للتجارة الخارجية من الممارسات غير المشروعة، الفصل الثاني: الجماية القانونية للتجارة الداخلية من الممارسات غير المشروعة، الفصل الثالث: الحماية القانونية للمعاملات التجارية الإلكترونية من الممارسات غير المشروعة.
