أحمد فؤاد باشا: أستاذ الفيزياء المتفرغ، والعميد الأسبق لكلية العلوم بجامعة القاهرة، والنائب الأسبق لرئيس جامعة القاهرة. عضو مجمع اللغة العربية، والمجمع العلمي المصري، وعدد من اللجان العلمية الوطنية والقومية، ورئيس قطاع العلوم الأساسية بالمجلس الأعلى للجامعات. أثرى المكتبة العربية بأكثر من ٨٠ كتابًا مؤلفًا أو مترجمًا أو محققًا (منفردًا أو بالاشتراك مع آخرين) في مجالات الفيزياء وفلسفة العلم، وقضايا الفكر العلمي. حصل على جائزة خادم الحرمين الشريفين العالمية للترجمة العلمية فى عام ٢٠٠٧م، كما حصل على جائزة الكويت للتقدُّم العلمي في عام ٢٠٠٨م. من مؤلفاته وترجماته: «الميكانيكا العامة وتطبيقاتها»، و«أساسيات الفيزياء»، و«العلوم والهندسة في الحضارة الإسلامية»، و«من الذرة إلى الكوارك»، و«فلسفة الكوانتم»، و«الديناميكا الحرارية».
Book Description
إن العلم لايزال بحاجة إلى صياغة جديدة لنظريته العامة، أو فلسفته الشاملة، باعتباره حالة فكرية لها إطارها العقائدى، ورصيدها الحضارى، وهدفها الإنسانى. وهذا أمر ضرورى لكل من يريد تعاملاً واعيا وفهمها حقيقا لقضايا الفكر العلمى فى حدود أوضاع اجتماعية واقتصادية وثقافية وروحية وأخلاقية لا يمكن إغفالها.
والكتاب الذى بين أيدينا يضم مجموعة من الدراسات التى تمثل مدخلا لتبادل الرأى والحوار البناء حول أسس تكوين العقلية الإسلامية المعاصرة وترشيدها عن طريق بلورة نظرية عامة للعلم والتقنية، فى إطار من التصوير الإسلامى المستمد من القرآن الكريم والسنة المشرفة. ذلك أن المنهج الإسلامى- بربانيته وعالميته- هو الأقدر على تقديم الحلول الشافية لكل المشكلات التى تؤرق العقل عن الكون ومصير الإنسان، فضلا عن أنه يتسع لكل القيم النبيلة التى تجعل من المعرفة عموماً غاية سامية لخدمة المجتمع الإنسانى بأسره، نظراً لما لها من علاقة وثيقة بالبحث عن الحقيقة فى أعماق النفس، وفى آفاق الوجود.
أدعو الله العلى القدير أن يجد هذا العمل المتواضع حظه من التدبر والوعى، وأن يؤتى ثماره المرجوة، مع جهود المخلصين من الباحثين، فى إصلاح مناهج الفكر الإنسانى بعامة، والفكر العلمى على وجه الخصوص.
