هذا الكتاب يتيح لكل القراء، وليس للمسلمين فقط، الفرصة للتعرف على تاريخ الإسلام في عصر الرسول، بكل تفاصيل أحداثه، من مصدر مختلف لم يسبق لهم أن اعتبروه مصدراً للتاريخ.
فلأول مرة، وبأي لغة من لغات العالم، يكتب تاريخ الإسلام مباشرة من القرآن، دون الإستعانة بأي كتاب بشري - سواءً كتبه محدث أو مفسر أو قاص أو مستشرق، قديماً أو حديثاً.
ولا يمكن معرفة إلى أي مدى سيصاب القراء بالذهول، عندما يعلمون أن القرآن يخبرهم بأن الرسول لم يتزوج بأكثر من أربع نساء، ولم يجمع في حياته أكثر من ثلاث، وأن أفراداً من بني إسرائيل يثرب آمنوا، هم من نشر الإسلام بين الأوس والخزرج.
أو عن تفاصيل لم يسمع بها أحداً من قبل عما حدث قبل وأثناء وبعد بدر وأحد، وكيف أن الأحزاب عبارة عن قوات تحالف قدموا للقضاء التام على المسلمين، بقيادة قوات رومية، وأن حنين قوات تحالف أخرى بمعاونة من الفرس.
أو أن قريشاً نقضت معاهدة فتح مكة التي أبرمتها مع الرسول والمسلمين، وعوقبت بعقوبات لم يذكرها التاريخ.
كما يعرفهم على بلد النبي إبراهيم الذي ولد وعاش فيه، وعلى البلدة التي خرج إليها وعاش فيها بقية حياته، وفي تلك البلدة ولد له إسماعيل وإسحاق ويعقوب.
ويعرّف القراء على موقع مصر، وأين غرق فرعون، وأين ولد عيسى ابن مريم، وأين كانت مملكة داوود وسليمان.
وتفاصيل كثيرة أخرى لم يسبق للناس السماع عنها، مع أنهم يقرأون القرآن صبحاً ومساء، ذلك أن هذا المصدر أبعد عن كتابة التاريخ، بحجة أنه سجلّ للتشريع فقط، ولا شأن له بما حدث من وقائع صاحبت دعوة محمد أو سبقتها.
إضافة للتعرف على الترتيب الصحيح للسور حسب نزولها، وهو ما سيجعل فهم السورة وما تتحدث عنه أيسر وأكثر وضوحاً، وسيغني عن الحاجة لتفسير أو تأويل.
والكتاب يمكن تعريفه بأنه كتاب الحقائق المغيبة، وهو مدعوم بالصور والخرائط.
