يشرح هذا الكتاب ما جاء في " نهاية الحكمة " لمؤلفه العلاّمة السيد الطباطبائي ، وقد وقف لبيان حقائق هذا الكتاب ودوره الريادي في إبراز أهمية العقل الشيخ مرتضى المياحي الذي حدد ماهية " مدرسة الحكمة المتعالية " كمشروع توافقي بين " البرهان والقرآن والعرفان " حيث أسسها الملا صدر الشيرازي أو صدر المتألهين ، الذي بيّن المنهج المتبع في مدرسة " الحكمة المتعالية " كمدرسة حركية مبتكرة حاولت أن تركب بين معطيات البحث البرهاني والكلامي والعرفاني والوصول إلى نتائج علمية فنية تُعطي رؤوى كونية حول الأمور الكونية الثلاثة " الله - الإنسان - العالم " ، لذا يقول صاحب هذه المدرسة : فابتكرت طريقة فلسفية جامعة أوجدت انقلاباً فكرياً في تاريخ الفلسفة والعلوم والعرفان من ناحية أخرى ودمج العناصر المشائية والإشراقية والعرفانية والدينية فتكون في دمجها ومزجها وتوحيدها فلسفة متعالية يمكن اعتبارها الحضارة الجديدة في التفكير الفلسفي " .
وبناءً على ما تقدم يقدم هذا لعمل كتاب " نهاية الحكمة " كأنموذج للدراسة والتحليل والتفسير يعتمد العقل وأقوال المتكلمين والحكماء في دراسة الإلهيات الباحثة في أحوال الوجود العامة وأحوال الوجود الخاصة مع إبراز أهمية للفلسفة ومحمولاتها في تفسير الوجود المطلق واجوهر والفرص ونقيض المعنى ولازم العدم وغيرها .
