أول من أخرج علم الخلاف وأسس قواعده في الدنيا بلا خلاف الإمام أبو زيد الدبوسي المتوفى سنة 432 هجرية. ذكر ذلك العلامة حسن صديق خان في أبجد العلوم وقد تيسر لنا والحمد لله نسختان في المكتبة الخديوية العامرة: الأولى ضمن مجموعة نمرة 111 والثانية نمرة 18. وقد آزرنا في تصحيحه حضرة الآخر الفقيه الفاضل الشيخ محمد أبو فراس النعساني، ثم تيسر لنا نسخه بخط الفاضل المشار إليه من رسالة الإمام الأجل أبو الحسن الكرخي التي دون فيها القواعد التي عليها مدار فروع مذهب الإمام الأعظم أبي حنيفة النعمان. وذكر شواهدها ونظائرها الإمام الأجل نجم الدين النسفي فذيلنا بها الكتاب وأثبتنا ترجمة كل واحد من هؤلاء الأئمة الأعلام منقولة عن أهم كتب التراجم ليقف القارئ على مقدار فضلهم، فيوفي كتبهم فيها من النظر إليها والاجتهاد فيها.
