تستفيق غفران كل صباح على نغمة وشمس وتستفيق صباحاتي البعيدة، كلما هبت عيناها فوقي كنسمة مطر.. آخذها من يدها ونركض عبر مسارب الظل الملتوية في قريتي، نصل إلى العين، يشرق خصرها حين يتلألأ الماء، حوله تدخل الحوض حافية القدمين، أصابعها بلون الحصى، ترقص أمامي كفراشة، لا نتكلم، لا يجوز أن نتكلم، أحيطها بذراعي وندور وندور، تخلو البلدة من أهلها فجأة، ولا نكترث، نمر أمام الفيلا المهجورة لمدير المنجم، نتسلق السور، ونقفز، الأراجيح تفوح منها بعد خصومات الأطفال الفرنسيين الذين مروا بها، نعرج ناحية بركة البط، رذاذ أجنحتها القزحية لا يزال عالقاً في الفضاء، وتضع ارمرأتي رأسها الصغير على كتفي، أفهم ما تريد قوله، تغمض عينيها برهة وتفتحهما وأهمس في أذنها "ما رأيك أن نتدحرج على العشب كحبتي زيتون؟".
