هذه جمهرة دروس في شرح أحاديث الموطأ ، كنت قد ألقيتها على روّاد العلم الشرعي في مناسبات عديدة ، اعتكفت على جمعها وتنظيمها وتهذيبها ، وقد سرت فيها على نهج دقيق يجمع بين شرح الألفاظ واستنباط الأحكام والمسائل ، مع الإشارة إلى لطائف التفسير والفوائد ، وما يتخلّل ذلك من نكت وتقريرات وتنبيهات وتحقيقات وقد عوّلت في رحلتي هذه على جمع من المصادر والمراجع ، مستخلصا من دلائل علم الفقه ما أمكن استخلاصه من مشاربها ومشارعها ، ومستمدّا من أفانين اللغة ما أمكن استمداده من معاهدها ومواقعها ، فجاءت هذه المحاضرات بحمد الله جامعة لخلاصة الآراء وزبدة المسائل من دلائل العلوم وأفانينها
هذا ، وقد صدّرت هذه الدروس بثماني محاضرات في التعريف بإمام دار الهجرة مالك بن أنس وبطبقة تلاميذه المباشرين الذين قصدوا الرحلة إلى مالك واشتهروا بملازمته والرواية عنه ، وعدّوا مشائخ المذهب بعده ، ثمّ بمصنّفه الموطّأ
