هذا الإصدار دراسة علمية لنقوش عربية شمالية (ثمودية) وجدت في أماكن مختلفة بالمملكة العربية السعودية، وقد اشتمل على فصول ثلاثة، الأول خُصص لدراسة النقوش التي عُثر عليها في منطقة حائل، بينما اشتمل الفصل الثاني على دراسة للنقوش التي اكتشفت في منطقة تبوك، أما الفصل الثالث فقد اشتمل على دراسة للنقوش التي جاءت من منطقة الجواء بالقصيم.
وتضمن هذا الإصدار رسومات للنقوش المدروسة، إذ إن الصور الفوتوغرافية لها قد نُشرت في الدوريات التي نشر المؤلف فيها هذه النصوص للمرة الأولى، كما تم إلحاق فهرس لأسماء الأعلام والمفردات التي وردت في هذه المجموعة من النصوص حسب المنهجية العلمية المتبعة، بالإضافة إلى إدراج قائمة بالمراجع والمصادر.
