إنَّ القصيدة المشهورة بـ«لامية العجم الجامعة للأمثال السائرة والحكم» للفاضل الأديب الطغرائي قد كتب لها القبول والانتشار بين طلاب العلم. وهي واحدة من القصائد الخالدات التي اعتنى الفضلاء بحفظها، وتطلعوا إلى فهم معناها ولفظها، مما حدا بالسادة العلماء إلى وضع شروح عليها، ليسهل على طلاب العلم تناولها ودراستها.
هذه القصيدة قد جمعت من غرر الحكم ومجالي الأدب ما مكَّنها من التربع على منصة المختارات الأدبية. وهي قصيدة من تلك اللواتي يعتني بها طالب الأدب والعربية، ولا يمكنه أن يستغني عنها، ويُعاب إنْ هو جهل قدرها.
ومن هؤلاء مؤلفنا العلامة الجليل جمال الدين محمد بن عمر بن مبارك بحرق الحضرمي الشافعي الذي علق عليها هذا الشرح المبارك النافع، المصفَّى من هنات السابقين. فقام متهمماً إليها فحل غريب لغاتها، ومشكل إعرابها، وكشف أوجه بيانها؛ لتسفر لمطالعها عن نقابها، وينفتح له مغلق أبوابها، فأدنى قطوف مجانيها، وأوضح فهم معانيها.
وقد كان اعتماد الشارح على شرح الأديب خليل بن أيبك الصفدي المعروف، إلا أنه هذبه من مستهجنات شعره وقصصه، مما لا يليق بعلمه وفضله، مما هو مشهور معروف، ونقّحه ودبّجه. ثم إنه أزال القذى من عيون الأصل، واصطفى محاسن أشعاره المفيدة، واقتصر منه على ما يتعلق بشرح القصيدة، وأضاف من الأشعار والحكم ما تشنف له الأسماع طرباً، وتطرب له الأفئدة تأثراً، ضمن اختيارات له بديعة، وأضفى عليه لمساته البديعة، حتى غدا هذا الشرح ـ ولله الحمد ـ حاوياً للخلاصة وزبدة الأقوال المفيدة.
ولنفاسة هذا الشرح وبديع أسلوبه وبيانه.. قامت دار المنهاج بتحقيقه تحقيقاً علمياً يليق به، وأثرته بالتعليقات المفيدة؛ لينضمَّ إلى إخوته، وينتظم في سمط الأدبيات.
