وقد درس هذا الكتاب تخطيط مدينة ذمار، وما يزيد عن خمسة وعشرين مسجداً، ويأتي من بينها المسجد الكبير الذي يعد من أوائل المساجد في اليمن، متطرقاً إلى أهميتها ودورها الذي لعبته، ومكوناتها وما يوجد فيها من نقوش وشواهد قبور ومآذن.
