لاشك ان هناك فارقا شاسعا بين مستوى تفكير العلماء وبين مستوى تفكير عامة الناس . ولكن قد تأخذك الدهشة لو علمت أن مستوى تفكير الفلاسفة يفوق مستوى تفكير العلماء بنفس الدرجة التى بين العلماء وبين عامة الناس . وإذا كان العالم يتخصص فى علم أو فرع من فروع العالم .. إى أن الفليسوف يجمع بين فروع المعرفة التى فى عصره ! ولكن وبالرغم من هذا المستوى الذى لا نظير له فى درجة التفكير وشمول او عمق المعرفة فإن كل ذلك لا يجعل من الفليسوف فيلسوفا مرموقا .. إلا إذا قام بابتكار نظريات جديدة تعدل أو تلغى النظريات القديمة المتعارف عليها فى العصر الذى يعيش فيه الفليسوف ولذلك .. فإن وجود فليسوف فى عصر من العصور إنما يعنى حدثا علميا وفكريا خطيرا .. وهو المر الذى لا يحدث إلا كل مئات السنين . وفى هذه السلسلة للناشئة وتناول سيرة هؤلاء النوابغ من الفلاسفة الذين أثروا بفلسفاتهم ونظرياتهم دنيا الفكر .
