هنريش تيودوربل (1917- 1985) أديب ألماني معروف، وإحدى العلامات المضيئة في أدب ما بعد الحرب أو ما يطلق عليه أيضاً أدب الأنقاض أو أحياناً أدب العودة للوطن، حاصل على جائزة نوبل عام 1972.
في عام 1966 ظهرت روايته الكبيرة "نهاية مأمورية" وهي تتخذ شكل تقرير قضائي ملىء بالتفاصيل الدقيقة، وفيها يسرد الكاتب وقائع محاكمة طريفة أطراف الادعاء فيها جهات عليا والمتهم أب وأبنه يمتهنان النجارة، نتيجة مستحقات مالية كبيرة للضرائب يتم توقيع الحجز على الأب، ويلتحق ابنه الذي يعينه في هذا الظرف الضيق بقوات الدفاع الألمانية لأداء الخدمة الإلزامية.
حياة بل وأعماله كتاباته وأفعاله وجهان لعملة واحدة، ويمكن القول بأن السياسة والأدب امتزجا في انسجام كامل في أعماله، قلمه الناقد واكب تطور المجتمع الألماني وبناءه دون كلل بعد الحرب، موضوعات أعماله تعكس خبرات الحرب والتغيرات الاجتماعية في فترة ما بعد الحرب بألمانيا، تناولت ايضاً كتاباته خلافاته مع الكنيسة الكاثوليكية ومع السطلة ووسائل الإعلام وعواقب دولة المخابرات.
