يشتمل هذا الكتاب على أربعة فصول تناولت أبعاد تخصص العلاج الطبيعي المختلفة على النحو التالي: يركز الفصل الأول على تخصص العلاج الطبيعي بشكل عام وعلاقته بالمجالات الأخرى وأساليبه، ويتناول الفصل الثاني موضوع التأهيل الحركي بأبعاده المختلفة، أما الفصل الثالث فيناقش العلاج بالحركة لمرحلة الطفولة والتدخل المبكر، وأخيراً، في الفصل الرابع دراسة ميدانية تم من خلالها استطلاع آراء العاملين في الميدان حول أهمية العلاج الطبيعي في مجال التربية الخاصة.
